Sharee Petersen is a Doctor of Physical Therapy who graduated from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln with a Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science before earning her Doctorate from the University of Colorado Anschutz Medical Campus in 2016.
With four years of experience as a physical therapist in Colorado, Sharee gained extensive expertise working with athletes of all levels. She returned to Lincoln, Nebraska in 2020.
Sharee's clinical practice emphasizes a holistic approach, incorporating a variety of manual therapy techniques alongside corrective exercises. These techniques include Trigger Point Dry Needling, Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Mobilization (IASTM), and joint mobilizations. She believes this multifaceted approach is crucial for developing effective and well-rounded treatment plans.
Sharee has a particular interest in treating hip pathologies. She is board-certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist (OCS) and a Certified Sports Conditioning Specialist (CSCS). Additionally, she holds certifications in Level 1 and 2 Functional Dry Needling (FDN) through KinetaCore and Blood Flow Restriction (BFR) through Owens Recovery.
Outside of work, Sharee enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, along with their dog. Her hobbies include golf, sand volleyball, biking, pickleball, weightlifting, and traveling.
